Alaska Airlines to start Seattle/Tacoma-Kansas City service on March 12

Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-890 WL N512AS (msn 39043) (Boeing Dreamliner colors) SEA (Bruce Drum), originally uploaded by Airliners Gallery.

Alaska Airlines (Seattle/Tacoma) will add the Seattle/Tacoma-Kansas CIty route starting on March 12, 2012. The new route will be served with Boeing 737-800 equipment. Kansas City is the seventh-largest market in the country previously unserved by AS from Seattle/Tacoma.

AS is also offering new seasonal service between Palm Springs and San Jose, California, starting on February 17, 2012. The new nonstop California route will originate in Portland, Oregon, and operate throughout the year except between June 3 and October 4.
