SAS Group loses $250 million in 2011 due to Spanair failure

SAS Group (Scandinavian Airlines-SAS) (Stockholm) reported a loss of 1.7 billion kronor ($250 million) for 2011 after taking a large writedown following the bankruptcy of Spanair.

SAS owned 11 percent of Spanair.
