Asian Express Airline (www.asian-express-airline.com) (Dushanbe) of Tajikstan is adding new Airbus and BAe (Avro) aircraft in order to start passenger operations.
The company was established in 2007 as the Asian Express Aviacompany. In 2011, 100% of company’s shares were owned by LLC Kont Bank Investment. Since then the airline has been renamed Asian Express Airline.
At present, the airline is in negotiations to purchase Airbus and BAe aircraft to provide domestic and international flights. Asian Express Airline is one of three airlines which operates passenger services in Tajikistan.
The company is also involved in the bus business. Asian Express owns the Dushanbe City Regional Bus Terminal. New buses are being purchased and bus operations will commence on March 21, 2012. 39 domestic bus routes will connect all regions of Tajikistan. In the near future, the company plans to expand its bus operations into Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and China.
