Armavia Air Company (Yerevan) today (March 6) staged a short-lived “strike” against airport fees in Armenia. According to this report by ArmeniaNow.com, the cancelled flights were to protest what the airline termed “unfair administrative fees” at Yerevan’s Zvartnot’s International Airport. Meanwhile the airport retorted, stating the airline was grounded because of its outstanding debts that prohibit it from flying to Russia (see the previous report about Transaero Airlines).
Armavia is now flying again. However is the company in financial trouble?
