Around 100 Airbus A380 aircraft need to be repaired

Airbus (Toulouse) has identified the problem that has caused the recent wing cracks on the A380s. According to this article by The Telegraph, the problem has been located in the small brackets (called “feet”) on the wing that hold the metal skin in place on the wing. Some of the brackets have developed cracks due to a design fault. There are about 2,000 brackets on each wing. Airbus has vowed to make the repairs on all affected aircraft.
