Silver Airways is favored to take over EAS service at Tupelo, Mississippi

Silver Airways (Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood and Gainesville) is spreading its wings all over the country as it bids for Essential Air Service (EAS) contracts at remote underserved cities. Delta Air Lines has been dropping EAS service at many small cities that were previously served with Mesaba Airlines (Minneapolis/St. Paul) SAAB 340Bs. Silver Airways appears to be the favorite candidate to replace Delta with SAAB 340B service from Tupelo, Mississippi service to the Atlanta hub according to this article by the Washington Post.
