Frontier Airlines (2nd) (Denver) has announced the addition of nonstop service to both Orlando, Florida (MCO) and San Diego, California (SAN) from Colorado Springs, Colorado. This brings the number of nonstop destinations served by the Colorado-based carrier from Colorado Springs Airport (COS) to seven.
The news of the two new nonstop destinations comes on the day that Frontier is celebrating the launch of its new nonstop service from Colorado Springs to Los Angeles, Calif. (LAX), Phoenix, Ariz. (PHX), and Seattle, Wash. (SEA) with nonstop service to Portland, Ore. (PDX) starting this Sunday.
The new nonstop flights enable southern Coloradans to save significant time and avoid connections getting to these top destinations from Colorado Springs. Frontier will operate the new routes with 138-seat Airbus A319 aircraft. Frontier is the only carrier to provide nonstop flights from southern Colorado to Orlando, Phoenix, Portland (Oregon), San Diego and Seattle/Tacoma, and is the only low-fare carrier with nonstop service to Los Angeles.
