Allied Air Cargo Boeing 727-200 freighter overruns the runway on landing at Accra, Ghana

Allied Air Cargo (Lagos) cargo flight from Lagos to Accra, Ghana overran the runway on landing at Accra yesterday (June 2). Flight 3, on landing at Kotoka International Airport, ran off the runway end through the security fence and across a main road, hitting a small bus with 10 people, killing all on board. The four crew members suffered minor injuries. The flight was operated by Boeing 727-221 (F) 5N-BJN (msn 22540). The airframe was originally delivered to Pan Am as N368PA “Clipper Goodwill” on May 26, 1982.
