Sun Country Airlines, under new leadership, is planning to reinvent itself as an ultra low-fare carrier. The carrier is setting a new tiered fees system (called “Bundle & Go”) for carry-on luggage and checked bags as well as seat assignments:

For Coach Class bookings made on or after October 25, 2017, for travel beginning on or after January 19, 2018, passengers may choose one of three Bundle & Go options, depending on their needs:

Traveling light? Then opt for our Grab & Go at no charge.
If bringing more, choose one of the other two options that works best – Check & Go or Store & Go — plus receive preferred or priority boarding.
In addition, Store & Go will only be offered if there is enough overhead bin space, so you can relax, knowing there will be enough space for your carry-on. First Class passengers receive added benefits at no charge.

Added benefits for select travelers:
- First Class passengers receive two free checked bags, one free carry-on, and one personal item. The personal item must fit under the seat. Learn more.
- Active U.S. Military receive two free bags – one checked bag and one carry-on. If carry-on space is full, second bag will be checked. They also receive one personal item, which must fit under the seat, and must present a valid Military ID at the airport.
- Unaccompanied minors receive one free checked bag and one personal item. The personal item must fit under the seat. To qualify for the free checked bag, the UMNR service fee must be paid and all required support information must be entered in the passenger’s reservation. Learn more.
CARRY-ON BAGGAGE POLICY — Store & Go
Effective October 25, 2017, Sun Country’s baggage policies will change. Depending on travel dates and when the trip was booked will determine if passengers can bring carry-on bags at no charge or for a fee. However, all carry-on bags must:
- Not exceed 24 inches long x 16 inches wide x 11 inches tall (including wheels, handles, etc.)
- Not exceed 35 pounds in weight
- Fit within the sizer box at the gate
Personal items (e.g., purse, laptop, etc.) must:
- Not exceed 17 inches long x 13 inches wide x 9 inches tall
- Be able to be stowed under the seat in front of the passenger
CHECKED BAGGAGE — Check & Go / Store & Go
Effective October 25, 2017, Sun Country’s baggage policies will change, based on travel dates and when the trip was booked. However, all checked bags must not exceed:
- 62 linear inches (length + width + height) and
- 50 pounds
Additional bags, as well as bags over 62 linear inches or 50 pounds, are subject to excess baggage fees for each additional piece of excess or oversized baggage.
AT THE AIRPORT
If a Bundle & Go option was not pre-purchased, carry-on and checked bag fees can be paid at the airport. We have reduced our additional checked bag fees and there is no limit to the number of bags that can be checked, however, for the greatest savings, pre-purchasing a Bundle & Go option is recommended.
