Bamboo Airways will launch scheduled passenger operations on January 16, 2019 from Hanoi to the Vietnamese cities of Ho Chi Minh City, Cam Ranh, Da Nang, Dong Hoi,  Phu Quoc, Quy Nhon and Buon Ma Thuot also between Ho Chi Minh City and Quy Nhon.

Bamboo Airways will be based at Quy Nhon’s Phu Cat Airport in Binh Dinh Province, Vietnam.

On January 8, 2019, Vietnam Aviation Administration officially granted the Aircraft Operator Certificate (AOC) to Bamboo Airways, officially permitting the airline to operate in Vietnam’s aviation market.

Bamboo Airways is a startup airline owned by Vietnamese construction company, FLC Group.
