WestJet celebrates International Women’s Day with all female flight and ground crews

WestJet made this announcement on March 8:

To mark International Women’s Day, WestJet today is proud to operate flights 2250 and 2251 with all-female flight and ground crews in recognition of its female workforce and women in aviation. Flight 2250 departed Calgary at 8:24 a.m. and is scheduled to arrive in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico at 2:19 p.m. local.

 

Women represent seven percent of WestJet’s pilot workforce against the international average of approximately four percent.
