Flyr, founded by Erik G. Braathen (sound familiar?), is proposing to start new domestic passenger services in Norway in the first half of 2021.
In the past, Erik managed Braathens SAFE as the CEO. Erik is joined by Tonje Wikstrøm Frislid, the former vice president at Norwegian, who will be the new CEO of the airline.
Flyr will fly between Norwegian cities and to well-known destinations in Europe.
According to their website, the proposed airline was “started up by enthusiastic aviation people with long experience from companies such as SAS, Norwegian, Widerøe and Braathens. Since the initiative was launched in the autumn of 2020, we have grown fast, with many talented employees, and now count 30 people working full-time to get Flying on the Wings.””
