American Airlines has announced it will be forced to trim its international summer schedule due to delivery delays by Boeing of its ordered Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners.
Due to the delays, AA will only receive 10 787-8s this year versus the 13 that were scheduled. Three deliveries have been pushed back to 2023.
According to Reuters, AA will temporarily suspend routes between Seattle/Tacoma and London Heathrow, Los Angeles and Sydney, and Dallas/Fort Worth and Santiago.
AA will also delay the launch of service between Dallas/Fort Worth and Tel Aviv, and reduce the frequency of flights between Miami and São Paulo to one flight a day.
