Finnair chooses SES for home-like internet connectivity onboard its E195-E2 aircraft

Finnair has selected global satellite communications provider SES to deliver home-like in-flight internet connectivity for the airline’s 18 new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, scheduled to join Finnair fleet starting in Q3 2027. The E195-E2 aircraft will be operating on Finnair’s European flights.

SES uses OneWeb Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites together with SES geostationary (GEO) satellite capacity to provide coverage across the entire Finnair network. The multi-orbit solution also helps maintain consistent connectivity experience in high-traffic areas and during periods of peak demand.
