Air India (Mumbai) is planning to phase out the Airbus A320 next year as it replaces the aging fleet with newer A319s and A321s. The struggling flag carrier is also considering delaying deliveries from Boeing.

Air India (Mumbai) will now receive its first (of 27) Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner in June 2010 according to Boeing. The new type will enter service with ANA (All Nippon Airways) in the first quarter of 2010.
