Air Corsica to fly to London Stansted

Air Corsica has announced its first ever scheduled passenger service to the United Kingdom. The carrier willย offer nonstop flights from Corsica to London (Stansted) from Ajaccio and Bastia next summer (Thursday and Sunday + Thursday, Saturday and Sunday in June + Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in July and August) ) and from Figari (from June to October: Saturday in June, July and August + Wednesday and Saturday in September and October).

Flights will begin on May 3, 2018.

AirAsia Japan to return on October 29

AirAsia Japan, the Japanese affiliate of AirAsia of Malaysia, is back in business with its inaugural service from Nagoya to Sapporo.

The twice-daily service will commence on October 29, 2017, connecting Nagoya – AirAsia Japanโ€™s main hub – to the capital of northern Hokkaido prefecture.

AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes said, โ€œItโ€™s great to be back in Japan. It hasn’t been easy, and I want to thank my partners Rakuten, Octave, Noevir and Alpen for their support and patience. Many people thought we would give up and not bother but we owe it to the people of Japan and our staff to keep going. This took a long time but, like good wine, all good things take time and we are off the taxiway and ready to take off.

AirAsia Japan is a joint venture between AirAsia Berhad, Rakuten Inc, Octave Japan Infrastructure Fund I GK, Noevir Holdings Co Ltd and Alpen Co Ltd. The airline operates two A320-200 aircraft from its hub at Nagoyaโ€™s Chubu Centrair International Airport.
