ALC signs MOU for 50 Airbus A320neos

Air Lease Corporation (ALC) (Los Angeles) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the 49th Le Bourget Airshow for 50 A320neo Family aircraft including 14 options. The agreement was signed by Steven F. Udvar-Hazy, ALC Chairman and John Leahy, Airbus Chief Operating Officer, Customers. ALC also announced orders for the acquisition of eleven A330 Family aircraft and one A321.

ALC to purchase 33 aircraft from Boeing

Air Lease Corporation (ALC) (Los Angeles) will purchase up to 33 airplanes. The agreement calls for 14 firm orders and four options for Next-Generation 737-800s, as well as five 777-300ERs (Extended Range) and four 787-9 Dreamliners. ALC also agreed to exercise options on six airplanes from last year’s 60 737-800 order.

ALC places 12 aircraft with TRIP Linhas Aereas

Air Lease Corporation (ALC) (Los Angeles) has entered into long term lease agreements with TRIP Linhas Aereas (Sao Paulo-Campinas) for six new ATR 72-600s and six new Embraer ERJ 190LRs, to be delivered between July 2011 and October 2012.

In other leasing news:

ALC is leasing four new Embraer ERJ 190s to Bulgaria Air. Deliveries are set for March, April, June, and November 2012.

ALC is leasing an additional new Airbus A330-300 to Asiana Airlines (Seoul), for delivery in September 2012.

ALC signed a 12 year lease agreement with Garuda Indonesia Airlines for a new Airbus A330-200.

ALC delivered a Boeing 737-800 (msn 32919) on a long term lease to Caribbean Airlines.

Previously unannounced from prior quarters, ALC acquired six additional Boeing 737-800s on lease to five operators, including two to Hainan (msns 35101 and 35077), and one each to Shanghai Airlines (msn 34254), Sun Express (msn 36529), Xiamen (msn 34253), and Sunwing Airlines (msn 30292).

ALC announces 20 more lease placements

Air Lease Corporation (ALC) (Los Angeles) has announced that it has signed lease agreements for 20 additional aircraft.

ALC is leasing 10 new aircraft to Alitalia, consisting of five Embraer ERJ 175s and five Embraer ERJ 190LRโ€™s under 12 year leases.

ALC and SriLankan Airlines have entered into lease agreements for three new A320-200s, one of which was delivered in May 2011 and the remaining two aircraft to be delivered in October and November 2011 on 12 year leases.

S7 Airlines is leasing three new A320-200s for eight years, delivering in January, February and May 2012.

ALC and Kenya Airways have entered into eight year lease agreements for three new Embraer ERJ 190ARโ€™s scheduled for delivery in August and September 2011 and May 2012.

ALC has acquired one A320-200 (msn 1686), on lease to Spring Airlines.

ALC finalizes its order for 60 Boeing 737-800s

Air Lease Corporation (ALC) (Los Angeles) has ย finalized an order for up to 60 Next-Generation 737-800s.

The order, first announced at the Farnborough Airshow in July, is for deliveries through 2017. In addition to 54 firm orders the deal includes six additional airplanes to be reconfirmed.

Air Lease Corporation (ALC) was founded inย February 2010, and is led by two airline industry veterans,ย Steven F. Udvar-Hazyย andย John L. Plueger.

ALC orders 15 Embraer ERJ 190s

ALC (Air Lease Corporation) (Los Angeles), a newly formed aircraft leasing company led by Steven Udvar-Hazy, signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for 15 Embraer ERJ 190 jets at the Farnborough International Air Show. Five of the 15 orders are re-confirmable, and the deal also includes five options, representing a potential sale of 20 aircraft.

ALC orders 54 Boeing 737-800s

ALC (Air Lease Corporation) (Los Angeles) has ordered 54 Boeing 737-800s with six options. The aircraft will beย delivered through 2017.

Steven F. Udvar-Hazy, chairman and CEO of Air Lease Corporation, launched the new leasing companyย in February 2010.

ALC orders 31 Airbus A320s and 20 A321s

Air Lease Corporation (ALC), the recently formed aircraft financing and leasing company, has chosen to place its first firm order for new aircraft directly from Airbus. The order is for 20 A321 aircraft and 31 A320 aircraft. The agreement was signed during a ceremony held today at the Farnborough International Air Show.

ALC was established earlier this year by the companyโ€™s Chairman and CEO, Steven F. Udvar-Hazy, founder and former Chairman and CEO of the International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC). ALC will purchase and lease commercial jet aircraft to airlines worldwide. ALC raised several billions of U.S. dollars of capital to acquire modern commercial jetliners and rapidly expand its portfolio of the latest technology aircraft.
