Lion Air’s Boeing 737-800 PK-LPS overruns the runway at Pontianak, Indonesia

Lion Air flight JT 714 from Jakarta to Pontianak, Indonesia with 182 passengers and seven crew members operated with Boeing 737-8GP PK-LPS (msn 43209) overran the runway on landing today (February 16) at Pontianak. The gear ended up being mired in the soft ground. There were no reported injuries.

There were reports the crew attempted the landing heavy rain.
