Level to fly from Amsterdam to seven European destinations

Level (Austria) (Anisec) has announced it is coming to Amsterdam as its second hub after Vienna. The brand will start flying from AMS to Rome and Vienna starting on April 6.

Service to London (Luton) will begin operating on April 7 followed by Fuerteventura and Lisbon in June.

Barcelona and Milan (Malpensa) will be added in August.

Three Airbus aircraft will be based at AMS.

The Level brand is a subsidiary of the International Airlines Group (IAG).

Anisec Luftfahrt (Level) commences operations in Austria

IAG's new subsidiary in Austria

Anisec Luftfahrt is the name of IAG’s new airline subsidiary in Austria. The new airline is operating under the Level brand.

IAG was unsuccessful in acquiring or partnering with Niki Lauda. This is IAG’s answer to Ryanair which was successful.

As reported, Level’s first flight from Vienna took off to London Gatwick at 1620 CET/1520 BST on July 17, 2018.

The inaugural flight on International Airlines Group’s (IAG) new shorthaul low-cost Austrian subsidiary, arrived in London Gatwick at 1750 (local time) with all seats sold on the Airbus A321.

Flights to London operate 14 times per week and on the same the company commenced its seven weekly services to Palma de Majorca.

Level (Austria) has four Airbus A321 aircraft based in Vienna from where they are operating to 14 European destinations. Each aircraft is fitted with 210 economy seats.

Over the next four weeks, flights from Vienna will start to Barcelona, Malaga, Venice, Olbia, Ibiza, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Milan Malpensa, Dubrovnik, Larnaca, Alicante, Valencia and Bilbao.

IAG launches a new Austrian subsidiary using the Level brand

International Airlines Group (IAG) is to launch a new low-cost Austrian subsidiary, branded as LEVEL, with flights from Vienna starting on July 17, 2018.

The new subsidiary will have an Austrian Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) and will base four Airbus A321 aircraft in Vienna from where it will fly to 14 European destinations.

On July 17, flights to Palma, Majorca and London Gatwick will be launched. Over the subsequent four weeks, flights from Vienna will be launched to Barcelona, Malaga, Venice, Olbia, Ibiza, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Milan Malpensa, Dubrovnik, Larnaca, Alicante, Valencia and Bilbao.

Willie Walsh, IAG chief executive, said: “We are launching this new shorthaul subsidiary to provide Austrian consumers with more flight choices across Europe. These flights will be branded as LEVEL to build upon the huge success of our new long haul low-cost operation.

We will serve the Austrian market with low-cost, reliable flights and will initially create around 200 new jobs at our Vienna base.

“Customers can check-in online or at the airport and take one hand baggage item onboard for free. They can choose to pay for additional items, such as checked luggage, from a menu of options designed to suit a variety of budgets and needs. There will also be a large selection of food and drink which can be purchased onboard”.

Each of the A321 aircraft will have 210 economy seats and flights will operate from Terminal 1 in Vienna airport.
