Precision Air needs $32 million to keep flying

Precision Air (Dar es Salaam) is going through tough times and is seeking $32 million in bailout loans to keep it flying according to this report by The CItizen and eTN.

In other news, last month Precision Air retired its last Boeing 737-300 (5H-PKS) according to ch-aviation and is now only flying ATR 42s and ATR 72-500s.

Kenya Airways starts a staff restructuring plan

Delta Connection ordered not to use name

Delta Connection (Kenya) (Nairobi) has been ordered by the High Court in Kenya to stop using the “Delta” name. Delta Air Lines (Atlanta) took the upstart to court in Kenya last December for name infringement and won its appeal. Delta Connection will be forced to use another name. It started regional operations in Africa on February 2, 2007.
