IBC Airways Metro III crashes in Arecibo, Puerto Rico

IBC Airways (Miami) Swearingen SA227AC Metro III N831BC (msn AC-654B) crashed in the Sabana Hoyos district of Arecibo, Puerto Rico on December 2 per Aviation Safety Network. The Metroliner was on a cargo flight from Santo Domingo to San Juan. The two pilots were tragically killed.

Tatarstan Aircompany Boeing 737-500 dives into the ground in Tatarstan, Russia, 50 dead (new video)

Tatarstan Aircompany (Tatarstan Airlines) (Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia) flight U9 363 with Boeing 737-53A ย VQ-BBN (msn 24785) crashed on landing at Kazan today (November 17) in Russia. The aircraft with 44 passengers and six crew members burst into flames, tragically killing all on board. The flight had arrived on a flight from Moscow (Domodedovo). The crash occurred onย landing at 19:25 ( GMT).

Update: A dramatic new security camera video shows the Boeing 737-500 diving straight into the ground which would explain the lack of survivors in this “landing” accident.

Follow-up article from Reuters:ย The pilot pushed the steering column into a nose dive, crash investigators reported, citing flight data analysis.ย The Interstate Aviation Committee offered no explanation why the pilot, at an altitude ย of ย 2,100 feet, after aborting his first attempt to land, would make this extreme maneuver. Breaking News: A Lao Airlines ATR 72 crashes in the Mekong River, 44 people on board

Lao Airlines (Vientiane) today (October 16) suffered a terrible accident. One of their new ATR 72-600s, registered RDPL-34233, crashed into the Mekong River in bad weather while attempting an approach for landing at Pakse Airport in southern Laos on a flight from Vientiane. 39 passengers and five crew members were on board according to the Bangkok Post. All 44 people have tragically perished in the crash. The aircraft is half submerged in the river with bodies being brought to the shore line according to Laos TV.
