Gulf Air (Bahrain) has decided to not pursue the dry lease option for the “foreseeable future” for the leased Jet Airways Boeing 777-300 ERs due to current economic situation. Under the original agreement Jet Airways agreed to operate the four Triple Sevens under a wet lease agreement for the first six months. After that period Gulf Air had the option to dry lease (operate) the aircraft but this will not happen at this time. Therefore the 777s will be returned around September 2009.
