Ryanair threatens to scale back growth plans

Ryanair (Dublin) despite quarterly profits being up by 80 percent, its yield was down due to price cutting. The company has threatened to scale back its growth plans due to the softening demand. Is this another negotiating ploy? The airline is holding discussions on a large aircraft purchase.
