Allegiant to drop Long Beach on November 28

Allegiant Air McDonnell Douglas DC-9-83 (MD-83) N868GA (msn 49554) LGB (Stephen Tornblom), originally uploaded by Airliners Gallery.

Allegiant Air (Las Vegas) will drop Long Beach and the Long Beach-Las Vegas route on November 28. The carrier had added LGB on July 1, 2010 and rival jetBlue Airways increased the number of flights on the LGB-LAS route as a competitive response. JetBlue now protects its LGB market with this strategic withdraw. The question: Who will get Allegiant’s slots at LGB?
