What will happen to Frontier Airlines?

Frontier Airlines (2nd) (Denver) is facing an uncertain future. Parent Republic Airways Holdings previously announced it would start divesting its shares and would become a smaller minority owner. Republic is also exploring all of its options concerning Frontier. Any changes to Frontier are likely to occur after June 2012.

It is also unlikely that Denver can continue to support three large airline operations.

The Denver Post has explored all of the possible scenarios facing this colorful and innovative airline in this article. Bottom line, no matter what happens, Frontier is unlikely to remain the same.
