Delta Air Lines flies the first Cuban charter flight from Atlanta

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) has added Havana, Cuba, to its list of international destinations. The weekly chartered flight by Marazul Charters, operated by Delta Air Lines, begins nonstop service today (December 7).

Hartsfield-Jackson is one of only a few U.S. gateways to Cuba added this year.
Although charter flights to and from Cuba now are allowed, only “purposeful” travel will be permitted, such as passengers who have close relatives in Cuba, are involved in the medical or agricultural sectors, or travel for educational and religious activities.
