The company will base two 166-seat McDonnell Douglas DC-9-82/83 (MD-80) aircraft at the airport and create jobs for approximately 60 people including: flight attendants, pilots, mechanics and airport service personnel. In conjunction with the base, Allegiant will begin new, nonstop air service to the Bay Area from seven markets:
Billings, Montana begins April 26
Bozeman, Montana begins April 27
Kalispell, Montana begins April 27
Idaho Falls, Idaho begins April 27
Medford, Oregon begins April 26
Missoula, Montana begins April 27
Redmond, Oregon begins April 26
The Oakland International Airport is Allegiant’s eighth base of operations. Allegiant currently provides service to three destinations from Oakland International Airport including, Bellingham, Washington, Eugene, Oregon and Mesa (near Phoenix), Arizona.
