Chilejet is born in Chile with European ties

Chilejet (Santiago) is a new proposed paper airline in Chile.  The Greek family Asprou (Dimitrios and Christopher Asprou) and other European investors, are planning to create a new charter airline in Chile. The name of the company will be Chilejet and it has been reported the owners are planning to begin operations during the first quarter of 2013. The proposed fleet will be four Boeing 737-400 formerly flown by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (Amsterdam). The new entity must obtain an AOC from Chilean authorities.

The Asprou family were owners of  Inter European Airways and now control the leasing company European Capital Corporation (ECH Group).
