Thai Airways International (Bangkok) which currently owns 39% of low-fare and flamboyant Nok Air (Bangkok), is attempting to purchase Krung Thai Bankโs 10% stake in order to have better control over the low-fare airline according to Aviation Week.

Thai Airways International (Bangkok) is ending its estranged relationship with Nok Air (Bangkok) and will turn over three domestic routes to the low-cost carrier on March 1, 2010. Thai owns 39 percent of the Nok shares.
