El Al Israel Airlines has chosen the fashion brand Renuar as its partner to design the new uniforms for flight attendants, pilots, and ground staff.
After a thorough evaluation process of several Israeli fashion companies, Renuar was selected to lead the design and development project for El Alโs new uniforms. This is a natural connection between two Israeli brands with both local and international presence.
The new design will reflect professionalism, modernity, comfort, and Israeli pride, as part of an overall process to upgrade the El Al service experience. The project will include an in-depth study of crew needs, meetings with field staff, fabric selection, and creating sketches and designs tailored to each role.
As Delta looks toward the next century of flight, the airline is unveiling a new uniform collection for its above- and below-wing employees that honors its legacy and embraces its future.ย
The Distinctly Delta collection is more than a new uniform โ itโs a brand statement of pride and purpose, designed with intention to help our people keep climbing.
Worn to fly โ designed for our people with purpose
Distinctly Delta uniform collection
From below the wing to the skies and beyond, Distinctly Delta is made up of four distinct collections produced by Landsโ End โ each designed with intention, crafted with care and inspired by the voices of 65,000 Airport Customer Service, In-Flight and Technical Operations uniformed Delta employees.
Every Distinctly Delta piece has been designed for comfort and performance with real-world conditions at the forefront โ from below-wing teams in extreme weather and flight attendants crossing climates in a single shift, to Airport Customer Service team members going from gate to aircraft and back again. From pocket placement to fabric choices, every detail was informed by the Delta people who wear the uniform, with every seam and stitch refined and reimagined to exude premium and perform under pressure.
Safety has been non-negotiable at Delta for over 100 years. Every piece in the Distinctly Delta collection meets industry-leading certification standards, including the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX โ a mark of excellence in fabric safety.
Classic colors and reimagined iconic pieces return
This uniform is a seamless extension of the airlineโs brand identity, with Deltaโs signature colors making their return. Borrowing from the Delta tail and Widget, deep navy and premium shades of burgundy and red are being reintroduced with aviation-inspired names like Navigator Navy, Boarding Burgundy and Runway Red for our Red Coats. A new shade of Powerful Pink arrives with this collection, as we continue a 20-yearโฏpartnership with the Breast Cancer Research Foundationโฏ(BCRF) โ Delta people will continue to wear this color with pride every October.
Distinctly Delta is designed to last โ both in durability and style. Iconic pieces from current and past collections were reimagined, not replaced. For example, the airline is bringing back a standout piece โ the iconic wrap dress. First introduced in the early 2000s, the wrap dress quickly became an employee and customer favorite and now returns with Distinctly Delta updates.
โDelta crews were iconic walking the concourse in the wrap dress. It was very Delta,โ recalled Dimbiloglu. โOur people said โbring it back,โ so we did โ without hesitation.โ
Premium design from curb to cloud
Deltaโs transformation into Americaโs premium airline isnโt just about new lounges, experiences or suites โ itโs about people. This uniform collection made for Delta people is a visual representation of Deltaโs elevated excellence spanning terminals, tarmacs and time zones.
โWhen customers see our people in this uniform, we want them to feel something different โ something special,โ said Dimbiloglu. โWelcoming. Elevated. Caring. Thatโs Distinctly Delta.โ
The Elite Collection โ featuring subtle jacquard patterns intertwined with the beloved Delta Widget โ distinguishes elite service roles like Red Coats, Sky Club ambassadors and Pursers onboard These roles will now be unified under one collection for the first time in Deltaโs history.
As a natural extension of our partnership, Delta is collaborating with Missoni, the renowned Italian fashion house, to design a selection of refined accessories โ including scarves, ties, and pocket squares โ that complement the onboard experience. These pieces reflect Missoniโs signature craftsmanship and Deltaโs timeless style.
Bombas is also coming onboard as a partner with this collection โ providing their signature comfortable socks in blackโฏaccented with special Delta branding elements, made for both above and below-wing employees.
Century of flight, a future of style
Designed with intention and engineered for performance, the Distinctly Delta collection is the result of a deeply collaborative process that puts employees at the heart of every stitch. This collection marks a milestone in Deltaโs centennial year, while transcending into the next 100.
โWeโre not just dressing for today,โ Dimbiloglu said. โWeโre dressing for the Delta we are becoming.โ
Delta will enter the wear-testing phase of the Distinctly Delta uniform collection by summer 2026, with all employees sporting the new collection in 2027.
Japan stretches in a ribbon of 14,125 islands across the Pacific. Beyond the megacities and Shinkansen rails, life in rural Japan depends on something far less visible but just as vital: regional aviation.
For many remote communities, aircraft arenโt just a way to travel. They are a lifeline, bringing food, medicine, education, tourism, and economic opportunities. And in a country where short runways and challenging geography are the norm, not every aircraft can do the job.
Thatโs where ATR comes in.
ATR aircraft are built to operate with ease on short runways and with efficiency. Even though ATR turbopropaircraft can land on strips shorter than 1,200 meters, that distance is the key to open up islands and communities that might otherwise be cut off.
Thatโs why Japan Air Commuter (JAC) introduced its first ATR in 2017. Since then, their 11 ATR aircraft have become the workhorses connecting Japanโs southern islands, from Kagoshima down to Okinawa, landing on short runways and handling the unique challenges of island aviation. With more than 37,000 ATR flights, carrying over 885,000 passengers yearly. These numbers reflect just how central ATR aircraft have become to regional mobility in Japanโs island communities.
Where the Runway Ends, ATR Takes Off.
Take Yoron, a jewel of the Amami archipelago.
Just 20 km across. Surrounded by coral reefs and cobalt-blue seas. Home to about 5,000 residents.
Its runway? Only 1,200 meters. Too short for most regional jets. But perfect for the ATR.
Thatโs because ATR aircraft are uniquely designed for short field operations. ATR turboprops achieve short takeoff and landing performance through a combination of aerodynamic efficiency and power management. Their high aspect-ratio wing, combined with optimised flap settings ensures low approach speed thanks to an increased lift at low speed, while the six-blade propellers provide both high thrust at take-off and effective aerodynamic braking in ground-idle and reverse pitch after touchdown. Deceleration is further enhanced by carbon brakes that are designed for repeated short-field operations. Coupled with a reinforced landing gear capable of handling unpaved and narrow runways, these design features enable ATR aircraft to safely operate on runways down to 1,000 meters, extending regional connectivity to airfields beyond the reach of conventional jets.ย
Okay, that was the avgeek talk, now for the rest of us mortals this means that even remote islands like Yoron can stay connected all year long. It gives the people the option of having a 45-minute flight to Okinawa instead of a long, exhausting boat journey. For young families, that means safer, easier access to healthcare. For locals, itโs the freedom to connect with the mainland without leaving their island roots. For businesses, itโs a steady flow of visitors bringing new opportunities. ATR aircraft make daily life possible, connecting Yoron to Kagoshima and Amamioshima with a daily round trip. Carrying a total of 3,832 passengers*. Although this might seem modest compared to Japanโs mega-hubs, but for Yoronโs 5,000 residents, these connections represent a lifeline to healthcare, education, trade, and tourism.
*July 2025 Data
Since ATR flights began, tourism has grown steadily, including more international visitors discovering Yoronโs beaches and resorts. The local economy is feeling the ripple effects, from hotels like Pricia Resort to small shops and restaurants.
But beyond economics, ATR has become an integral part of daily life:
Medical transfers. Family visits. Cargo and supplies.
ATR turboprop aircraft help ensure that even Japanโs smallest islands remain vibrant, connected, and thriving.
Etihad Cargo, the cargo and logistics arm of Etihad Airways, is continuously redefining traditional air freight while supporting the airlineโs overall business growth ambitions. The carrier has recently signed an agreement with LODD Autonomous, a leader in advanced air mobility and autonomous logistics, to explore the integration of next-generation โHiliโ hybrid VTOL aircraft into UAE operations. This collaboration will complement conventional fleets with agile, short-range capacity that enhances operational resilience and service speed while ensuring lower emissions and more sustainable logistics.
With a payload capacity of 250 kilograms and a range of more than 700 kilometres, the โHiliโ aircraft offers the ideal balance between capacity and agility, being capable of transporting high-value shipments across a wide range of terrains and conditions.
The new partnership will centre on experimental operations to test the efficiency, safety, and ground logistics compatibility of LODD Autonomousโ flagship drone for point-to-point UAE-wide transfers. The impact on logistics could be significant, as โHiliโ removes the need for runways and traditional airport infrastructure, cutting delivery times by hours or even days.
As part of the trial, Etihad Cargo will also explore the operational and commercial potential of integrating โHiliโ aircraft into its future fleet.

Korean Air has become a new customer for the worldโs only all-new large freighter, following the conversion of seven of its existing A350-1000 passenger aircraft orders to the A350F.
The A350F features the largest main deck cargo door in the industry, with fuselage length and capacity optimised around the industryโs standard pallets and containers. Over 70% of the airframe is made of advanced materials, resulting in a 46 tonne lighter take-off weight than the competing derivative. The A350F is also the only freighter aircraft that will fully meet ICAOโs enhanced COโ emissions standards, coming into effect in 2027.
Currently under development, the A350F can carry a payload of up to 111 tonnes and will fly up to 4,700 nautical miles / 8,700 kilometres. Powered by the latest Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines, the aircraft will bring a reduction in fuel consumption and carbon emissions of up to 40% when compared to previous generation aircraft with a similar payload-range capability.
At the end of September 2025, the latest generation widebody A350 Family had won 1,445 orders from 63 customers worldwide, including 65 for the all-new A350F from 10 cargo carriers and one lessor.
Korean Air has ordered a total of 33 A350 aircraft. This now comprises 20 A350-1000s, seven A350Fs and six A350-900s, of which the first two have already been delivered. In addition, the carrier has outstanding orders for 39 A321neo single aisle aircraft.
On October 30, 2025, All Nippon Airways (ANA) announced it will retire the AirJapan brand, citing global business challenges and a need to streamline operations. While AirJapan will retain its own air operator certificate, its flights, staff, and aircraft will be absorbed into the ANA mainline, effectively ending its independent branding and commercial presence.
AirJapan was launched in 2022 as a hybrid, value-oriented international carrier, designed to attract leisure travelers from across Asia to Japan. It operated Boeing 787-8 aircraft on routes from Tokyo Narita (NRT) to Seoul-Incheon (ICN), Bangkok (BKK), and Singapore (SIN). These services will be wound down by March 29, 2026, with ANA taking over the operational footprint. The brand was ANAโs strategic response to Zipair Tokyo, a similar low-cost long-haul concept introduced by Japan Airlines (JAL) in 2020.
The decision to discontinue AirJapan comes amid record financial results for ANA, including ยฅ1.19 trillion ($7.9 billion) in operating revenue and ยฅ97.6 billion ($634 million) in operating profit for the first half of fiscal 2025. Despite strong international traffic, ANA cited ongoing aircraft delivery delays, B787 ground time issues, and geopolitical instabilityโnotably the war in Ukraineโas factors influencing its brand consolidation.
ANAโs other subsidiary, Peach Aviation, which operates an all-Airbus narrowbody fleet focused on domestic and short-haul leisure routes, will remain unaffected. The groupโs broader strategy includes expanding its international network with new services to Milan Malpensa (MXP), Stockholm Arlanda (ARN), and Istanbul (IST), while continuing to integrate Nippon Cargo Airlines, acquired in August 2025.
