JetBlue Celebrates United Statesโ€™ 250th Anniversary with Updated Livery on N775JB, Inflight Programming, and Community Initiatives

JetBlue Airways on July 1, 2026 announced that its “Vets in Blue” Airbus A320-232 N775JB now features a commemorative “250” design honoring the 250th anniversary of the United States of America.

The aircraft was showcased on Tuesday at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), where U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy joined JetBlue CEO Joanna Geraghty and an all-veteran JetBlue flight crew to recognize the airline’s tribute to veterans and active-duty service members whose service has helped safeguard the freedoms celebrated throughout the nation’s 250-year history.

JetBlue specially designed the commemorative โ€œ250โ€ design to add to its โ€œVets in Blueโ€ aircraft, the airlineโ€™s special livery honoring U.S. military veterans. The aircraft now serves as a flying tribute to Americaโ€™s historic anniversary while continuing to recognize the service, sacrifice and dedication of the United Statesโ€™ service members. As part of the tribute, JetBlue is also unveiling a limited run of 1,776 trading cards featuring the special livery.

Bringing the Celebration Onboard
Continuing the celebration of this milestone in the nationโ€™s history, JetBlue also announced a series of special initiatives to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States, including a limited-time inflight video showcased onboard all JetBlue flights and a veteran-focused service initiative.

The special inflight video honors the United States and its 250-year history, as well as the nationโ€™s veterans and the airlineโ€™s own crewmembers. Narrated by JetBlueโ€™s chief operating officer and U.S. Navy veteran, Warren Christie, the video will be available onboard all JetBlue flights throughout July. Customers will also be greeted with a welcome screen featuring the airlineโ€™s โ€œ250โ€ design. Combined, these will give customers the opportunity to reflect on the countryโ€™s anniversary and recognize the people who continue to move the nation forward while traveling across JetBlueโ€™s network.

Crewmembers in Action
This month, JetBlue crewmembers will participate in a volunteer initiative supporting veterans, extending the airlineโ€™s commemoration of Americaโ€™s 250th anniversary into the community.

As part of JetBlueโ€™s longstanding support for U.S. military veterans, the airlineโ€™s crewmembers will assemble care packages for veterans, including sock bundles and personalized notes of appreciation, to be distributed to local VA hospitals across JetBlueโ€™s network. This volunteer project provides a meaningful way for JetBlue crewmembers to honor veterans while recognizing the service and sacrifice that have helped shape the nationโ€™s history.

JetBlueโ€™s โ€˜Vets in Blueโ€™ crewmember resource group will also activate local volunteer opportunities throughout the airlineโ€™s network.

Veterans Take Flight
JetBlue is proud to celebrate all of its crewmembers with military service, whose leadership, honor and dedication continue to strengthen the companyโ€™s culture throughout its operation.

JetBlue supports veterans and military families through a variety of initiatives, including:

  • Vets in Blue, JetBlueโ€™s crewmember resource group, which fosters community, support and engagement among veteran crewmembers and allies.
  • The Gateway Rotor Transition Program, which provides U.S. military-trained helicopter pilots a pathway to become JetBlue first officers through fixed-wing instruction and flight-time building opportunities.
  • An annual military hiring event at JetBlue University, hosted in partnership with Vets in Blue and external military organizations, that welcomes active-duty service members, veterans and their families to explore career opportunities across the airline.
  • Participation in additional veteran-focused aviation career events throughout the year to help connect military talent with careers in aviation.

American Airlines and America250 take flight, unveil commemorative logo on an Envoy Air Embraer 175 (N341MB) at DFW

As American Airlines marks its centennial year, the airline today unveiled a special America250 commemorative aircraft, celebrating 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence and honoring the nationโ€™s enduring spirit of innovation, resilience and connection. The aircraft will service Americanโ€™s inaugural flight from Miami to Caracas, Venezuela, on April 30.

The aircraft was revealed during a special event at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), attended by American Airlines CEO Robert Isom, Department of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, America250 Executive Vice President Jen Condon, and American Airlines leadership and frontline team members who power the airlineโ€™s operations every day. Together, they marked a milestone moment that celebrates two historic anniversaries โ€” 250 years of American independence and 100 years of American Airlines connecting the nation and the world.

The America250 aircraft reflects Americanโ€™s role as an official partner of America250, the national nonpartisan organization charged by Congress with leading the nationโ€™s Semiquincentennial commemoration. In addition to servicing the inaugural flight to Venezuela, the aircraft will fly across Americanโ€™s global network, serving as a traveling tribute to the nationโ€™s past, present and future โ€” and to the communities American has proudly served for 100 years.

American will also serve as the Official Airline of America Innovates, a traveling showcase of the nationโ€™s ingenuity that will highlight the creativity, progress and pioneering spirit that have defined the United States for 250 years. Additional details about Americanโ€™s centennial activities and its partnership with America250 will be shared in the months ahead.
