AeroGal (Aerolineas Galapagos) (Quito) will drop the Guayaquil-Cuenca-New York (JFK) route on April 17 according to this report by El Comercio. This ends the company’s service to New York.

AeroGal (Aerolineas Galapagos) (Quito) will soon take delivery of its first Airbus A320 through the Synergy Group. A new commercial agreement between AeroGal and the Synergy Group will permit the airline to receive new aircraft that will allow for expansion to new destinations. Synergy’s Avianca currently controls 81% of the stock but AeroGal will retain its brand.
