Jet2 and Boeing finalize an order for 27 Boeing 737-800s

Jet2 (Jet2.com) (Leeds/Bradford) and Boeing (Chicago, Seattle and Charleston)  have finalized an order for 27 Next-Generation 737-800s, valued at approximately $2.6 billion at current list prices.

Jet2.com currently operates an all-Boeing fleet of nearly 60 aircraft; however, this is the organization’s first direct Boeing order.

The new aircraft are expected to replace the older Boeing 737-300s.

The aircraft will be used to take the company’s package holiday and flight only customers to leisure destinations in the Mediterranean, the Canary Islands and also to a combination of exciting European leisure cities.

Jet2 to add three new routes from Leeds/Bradford in May 2015

Jet2 (Jet2.com) (Leeds/Bradford) in May 2015 will add three new routes from its Leeds/Bradford base to Antalya (starting on May 21, 2015), Malta (May 23) and Kelalonia (May 27) per Airline Route.

AeroMexico to operate seasonal service from New York to both Puerto Vallarta and Los Cabos

AeroMexico (Mexico City) announced new seasonal services from New York (JFK) to Puerto Vallarta and Los Cabos as of January 16 and January 18, 2014 respectfully.

These new flights will have the following schedules:

New York – Los Cabos*

New York – Puerto Vallarta*

Also, AeroMexico will add three weekly flights to the daily service it currently offers between New York (JFK) and Cancun as of December 20. The schedules on this route will be as follows:

These new routes and frequencies will be served with 160-seat Boeing 737-800s, to develop a new and strong link between leading Mexican tourist destinations and the United States.

AeroMexico will offer 42 weekly flights from New York, strengthening its extensive global network and increase its seat offerings to provide additional connectivity options and expand tourist travel to Mexico.
