Bombardier Commercial Aircraft has announced that Biman Bangladesh Airlines Ltd. has ordered three new Q400 turboprops by signing a purchase agreement with the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC).
Based on the list price of the Q400 aircraft, the firm order is valued at approximately US$106 million.

Bombardier Commercial Aircraft has announced the company successfully placed three pre-owned Q400 turboprops with PassionAir from the Republic of Ghana. The airline acquired the aircraft through a dry-lease with a third party.
The airline will operate the three Q400 aircraft in a 78-seat configuration on domestic routes.
PassionAir is a new Ghanaian owned airline, and aims to become the most competitive Aviation Service Provider in Ghana and West Africa. Our focus is on safety and excellent customer service delivery, depicting the proverbial Ghanaian hospitality. Our product lines range from scheduled to chartered flights offered at internationally accepted standards and competitive prices.
PassionAir as start off, will operate flights domestically, with plans of expanding our services to the West African sub-region in the medium term.

Bombardier Commercial Aircraft has announced it has signed a firm purchase agreement for six new Q400 aircraft with African Aero Trading on behalf of the consortium forming Air Connection Express, Transportes Aereos S.A, based in Luanda, Republic of Angola.
Based on the list price of the Q400 aircraft, the firm order is valued at approximately US$ 198 million.
The airline will operate the Q400 domestically to connect smaller communities and increase frequencies as a regional feeder airline to TAAG Angola Airlines – flag carrier of the Republic of Angola.
The members of the consortium include TAAG Angola Airlines, ENANA, Airjet, Air26, Bestfly, Diexim, Mavewa, SJL and Air Guicango. The consortium is in the process of establishing a management team and the operational structure for Air Connection Express.

Bombardier Specialized Aircraft has announced that Conair Group Inc., the world’s leading provider of fixed wing aerial firefighting aircraft, has purchased six Q400 aircraft. Based on the current list price, the firm order is valued at approximately $206 million US.
Conair operates the world’s largest fleet of privately owned fixed wing airtankers and supplies specialty aerial firefighting aircraft and products worldwide. These six Q400 production aircraft will be modified to incorporate an enhanced version of Conair’s proprietary Retardant Delivery System. In the Q400 Multirole configuration, the retardant tank can be removed and reinstalled in the field in a few hours. This enables the aircraft to efficiently perform additional roles in emergency response, passenger and cargo transport, medivac, and coastal patrol without compromising its exceptional firefighting capabilities.

CemAir (Johannesburg), as previously reported, concluded a firm purchase agreement for two new Q400 turboprops from Bombardier, and has also signed the lease of a used Q400 aircraft that was delivered in November 2017, paving the way for the new aircraft to be delivered afterwards. The letter of Intent (LOI) from CemAir, which was signed on June 21 at the 2017 Paris Air Show, has now been converted into a firm order.
The company has now put the leased Q400 (ZS-DHD) into revenue service.

The letter of Intent (LOI) from CemAir, which was signed on June 21 at the 2017 Paris Air Show, has now been converted into a firm order.

With these Q400 aircraft, CemAir would increase its current fleet of Bombardier aircraft to 17 – including five Q Series turboprops and 12 CRJ Series aircraft. CemAir recently added a used CRJ900 aircraft to its fleet, the first in South Africa.

In 2017, seven Q400s are getting the updated look.
Bombardier Commercial Aircraft has announced from the International Paris Air Show, that it has signed an agreement with Philippine Airlines, Inc. for the exercise of its seven Q400 aircraft purchase rights. This latest rights exercise brings Philippine Airlines’ total firm order to twelve Q400 aircraft. The original order for five firm Q400 with purchase rights for an additional seven was previously announced on December 8, 2016.
The flag carrier of the Philippines is expected to take delivery of the world’s first dual-class, 86-seat Q400 aircraft in July 2017.
Including this latest order, Bombardier has now recorded a total of 585 Q400 aircraft on firm order.

Bombardier Commercial Aircraft has announced Philippine Airlines, Inc., the flag carrier of the Philippines, has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to acquire up to 12 Q400 aircraft.
Philippine Airlines (PAL) is the flag carrier of the Philippines. Headquartered in Manila, PAL celebrates its 75th anniversary this year as the first commercial airline in Asia still in operation today. Operating out of its hubs at Ninoy Aquino International Airport of Manila and Mactan-Cebu International Airport of Cebu, Philippine Airlines serves 31 destinations in the Philippines and over 40 destinations in Southeast Asia, East Asia, Middle East, Oceania, North America and Europe.

Ethiopian Airlines (Addis Ababa) is planning to lease four Bombardier DHC-8-402s (marketed as the “Q400”) from Palma Holding Limited.

Bombardier Aerospace has announced that lessor Palma Holding Limited (Palma) has signed a firm purchase agreement for four dual-class Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft. The agreement, which also includes options for an additional four Q400 NextGen aircraft, follows a letter of intent to acquire the aircraft that Bombardier announced on November 18, 2013. Under a joint venture with Ibdar Bank BSC, Palma intends to lease four of the Q400 NextGenaircraft to Ethiopian Airlines.
Ethiopian Airlines currently operates a fleet that includes 13 Bombardier DHC-8-402 (Q400) NextGen airliners.
