CDB Aviation and SAS expand relationship with new transaction for four Airbus aircraft

CDB Aviation, a wholly owned Irish subsidiary of China Development Bank Financial Leasing Co., Limited, announced a new sale and leaseback transaction for a fleet of four Airbus aircraft with its existing customer, Scandinavia’s flagship airline, SAS.

The agreement incorporates three Airbus A320neo and one A350-900 aircraft, which are leased to SAS on a long-term basis. The carrier already took delivery of the A350 on Friday, March 26, 2021. The remaining three A320neos are expected to be delivered during the spring of 2022.

Dublin based CDB Aviation Lease Finance DAC (CDB Aviation) has announced a firm order for 90 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft during the Dubai Airshow 2017. The agreement was reached in two steps: an original purchase agreement signed in 2014 for 45 A320neo Family aircraft, which remained undisclosed to date, and the firming up of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) announced at the 2017 Le Bourget Paris Airshow in June 2017 for an additional 30 A320neo and 15 A321neo aircraft.

Boeing, CDB Aviation finalize order for 52 737 MAXs and eight 787 Dreamliners

Boeing and CDB Aviation on November 9, 2017 finalized an order for 42 737 MAX 8s, 10 737 MAX 10s and eight 787-9 Dreamliners.

The order, valued at $7.4 billion at current list prices, was announced as a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the 2017 Paris Air Show. The order includes a conversion of six 737 MAX 8 orders, to the 737 MAX 10.

CDB Aviation, one of the largest and most influential Chinese-owned aviation leasing companies, is part of the launch customer group for the 737 MAX 10, the newest member of Boeing’s 737 MAX family.
