Saudi Arabian Airlines wet leases this Boeing 747-400 from Pullmantur Air for the Hajj

Saudi Arabian Airlines (Jeddah) started wet leasing this Boeing 747-400 yesterday (September 10) from Pullmantur Air (Madrid). The pictured 747-4H6 EC-KXN (msn 25703) has been painted in the full Saudi Arabian livery. Saudi Arabian leases in additional aircraft during the yearly religious Hajj season.

Saudi Arabian Airlines changes its name back to Saudia, joins the SkyTeam alliance

Saudi Arabian Airlines (Jeddah) has reverted back to its old Saudia name as the airline joins the SkyTeam alliance.

Saudi Arabian Airlines introduces its first Boeing 777 SkyTeam logojet

Saudi Arabian Airlines (Jeddah) today (May 27) put into service its first Boeing 777 SkyTeam logojet from Amsterdam. The carrier will join the alliance in June.

Saudi Arabian Airlines to launch freighter service to Frankfurt and Vienna on March 25

Saudi Arabian Airlines (Jeddah) will launch Boeing 747 freighter service to Frankfurt (four times a week) and McDonnell Douglas MD-11 freighter service to Vienna (twice-weekly), both on March 25.

Southern Air to operate for Saudi Arabian

Southern Air (2nd) (Anchorage) and Saudi Arabian Airlines have signed a definitive agreement under which Southern Air will operate this Boeing 747-200F freighter on behalf of Saudi Airlines Cargo Company Limited on an ACMI basis (aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance). The aircraft will begin to be operated for Saudi Arabian starting this month.

Saudi Arabian Airlines orders four additional Airbus A330-300s

Saudi Arabian Airlines (Jeddah) today placed a firm order for four additional A330-300 aircraft in addition to the eight ordered in July 2008, taking the total order for the type to 12.

World Airways to operate a Boeing 747-400F freighter for Saudi Arabian Airlines

World Airways (Atlanta) (subsidiary of Global Aviation Holdings) has reached an agreement with Saudi Airlines Cargo Company (SACC) to operate one Boeing 747-400 freighter on a full-time basis beginning in June 2011. Under the agreement, World will provide capacity for SACC’s expanding network in the Middle East, Africa and Europe.
