Cambodia Bayon Airlines to start international operations to Vietnam

Cambodia Bayon Airlines MA60 XU-001 (Tail)(CBA)(LR)

Cambodia Bayon Airlines (Phnom Penh) is a new airline Cambodia. The airline has announced it will add the Phnom Penh – Ho Chi Minh City international route on July 1.

The airline commenced MA60 domestic operations on December 30, 2014 between Phnom Penh (PNH) and Siem Reap (REP).

The airline received its AOC on December 23, 2014.

Cambodia Bayon Airlines Company Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bayon Airlines Holdings and was established in April 2014 and prepares to operate with the approval of Cambodia Prime Minister while having formally applied for Airline Operation Certificate (AOC) to the Cambodia Civil Aviation Bureau in July 2014.

Bayon Airlines plans to introduce 20 MA60 aircraft (above) and 10 Airbus A320 aircraft within 5 years to build a route network which covers Cambodia and places Cambodia as the center to connect ASEAN with Japan, China, and Korea. Cambodia Bayon Airlines aims to provide convenient and comfortable air transport services for the Cambodia and international business travelers.

Joy Air Xian MA60 skids off the runway on landing at Fuzhou, 7 injured

Joy Air (Xian) Xian Modern Ark 60 (MA60) B-3467 operating flight JR 1529 from Yiwu to Fuzhou, China with 45 passengers and seven crew members skidded off the end of the runway while landing at Fuzhou yesterday (May 10). According to China.org.cn seven people were injured and taken to a local hosital.

The Xian MA60 is built byย China’s Xian Aircraft Industrial Corporation under the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). The MA60 is a stretched version of the Xian Y7-200A, which was based on the Antonov An-24.

Joy Air’s Xian MA60 B-3455 suffers a landing accident at Zhengzhou

Joy Air‘s (Xi’an) Xian MA60 B-3455 (msn 0803) was involved in a landing accident on February 4 at Zhengzhou, China. The turboprop had arrived on a flight from Taiyuan when the nose collapsed on landing and aircraft contacted the runway according to Aviation Safety Network. There were no reported injuries.
