Pamir Airways’ (Kabul) Antonov An-24B YA-PIS has been located. The airliner disappeared Monday while flying over Afghanistan’s Hindu Kush mountains with 44 people on board, including six foreigners, officials said.
Photos supplied by NATO forces show that the plane had broken into four pieces that were strewn across a steep mountainside, suggesting that it was unlikely that anyone survived.
