Etihad Airways orders 10 787-9 Dreamliners and two 777F freighters

Etihad Crystal Cargo (Etihad Airways) Boeing 777-FFX A6-DDA (msn 39682) PAE (Nick Dean) (1st 777 freighter), originally uploaded by Airliners Gallery.

Etihad Airways (Abu Dhabi) and Boeing (Chicago) today (December 12) announced an order for 10 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners and two additional Boeing 777F Freighters.

The order also increases Etihad’s current Boeing 777 backlog to 12 airplanes, which includes 10 previously ordered 777-300 ERs (extended range). The airline’s fleet currently includes eight Boeing 777-300 ERs and one 777F Freighter (A6-DDA).
