Hawaiian Airlines (Honolulu) will boost its service to Hawaii from the heart of the state’s single-largest visitor market with the addition of a third daily flight between Los Angeles and Honolulu on a year-round basis, starting in June 2012 . Hawaiian had previously offered this flight on a seasonal basis to accommodate peak summer travel demand.
Hawaiian’s increasing the seasonal flight to year-round service will add more than 70,000 air seats annually between the two cities.
Starting June 7, 2012 , Hawaiian’s flight HA 3 will depart Los Angeles International Airport daily at 10:30 a.m. (1030) and arrive at Honolulu International Airport at 1:10 p.m. (1310). The return flight HA 4 will depart Honolulu daily at 10:20 p.m. (2220) and arrive in Los Angeles the following morning at 6:45 a.m. (0645).
The flight’s mid-morning departure from Los Angeles offers an alternative to Hawaiian’s earlier departure, yet still allows travelers enough time on arrival to spend the afternoon exploring Oahu or connect to a Neighbor Island in time to enjoy a first sunset on the beach. The schedule’s late evening return from Honolulu allows visitors a full final day in Hawaii before returning home.
