Allegiant to start Bloomington-Sanford flights

Allegiant Air McDonnell Douglas DC-9-83 (MD-83) N865GA (msn 49998) (Travel is our deal) LGB (Stephen Tornblom) (revised livery), originally uploaded by Airliners Gallery.

Allegiant Air (Las Vegas) has announced new, twice-weekly nonstop jet service between Bloomington, Illinois and Sanford via the Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB). The new route will begin on Wednesday, May 16, 2012.

In other news, the company inaugurated nonstop flights between Mesa (near Phoenix) and Oakland International Airport.
