Thomson Airways puts its first Boeing 787-8 into revenue service

Thomson Airways (London-Luton and Manchester) yesterday (June 21) placed its first new Boeing 787-8 into revenue service between London (Gatwick) and Mahon Airport on Menorca.

Until the new type goes into trans-Atlantic service on July 8, Thomson will operate their 787s on its routes to its more popular Mediterranean destinations, including the Balearic and Greek Islands, replacing Boeing 737-800 and 757-200 equipment.
