Thomson Airways (London-Luton and Manchester) yesterday (June 21) placed its first new Boeing 787-8 into revenue service between London (Gatwick) and Mahon Airport on Menorca.

Until the new type goes into trans-Atlantic service on July 8, Thomson will operate their 787s on its routes to its more popular Mediterranean destinations, including the Balearic andย Greek Islands, replacing Boeing 737-800 andย 757-200 equipment.

Thomson Airways (London-Luton) will introduce its new Boeing 787-8 on July 9 between London (Gatwick) and Cancun and Glasgow and Sanford (updated) per Airline Route. The airline now expects to take delivery of its first 787 at the end of this month.
