American Airlines (Dallas/Fort Worth) will end American Eagle Bombardier CRJ200 service between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara on April 1 according to Airline Route.

This is long overdue as the time/distance is just too short. Unless one’s personal origin and destination are near both airports, it really is faster to drive the route. The only exception might be for those rich cats using private jets on demand, but even then, the hassle of moving to/from the major terminals at LAX to the FBO/private jet port on the west side can be substantial.
