In addition to its traditional summer destinations from Greece, Skiathos and Preveza, TUS Airlinesโ seasonal flight schedule from Larnaca will now also feature Kefalonia and Kalamata and, from central Europe, Lyon, Strasbourg and Toulouse. As for the annual flight schedule, it will offer Brussels and Paris as destinations from central Europe, and Tel Aviv and Eliat from Israel.

The seasonal flight schedule from Paphos will also include Paris, Dusseldorf, Tel Aviv, Hamburg and Nuremberg.
Furthermore, destinations for which TUS Airways plans to operate flights from Larnaca over the 2022-23 winter season, are Sharm el-Sheikh, Marrakech, Dubai, Jeddah and Riyadh.

Boeing and its longstanding customer Ethiopian Airlines have announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the intent to purchase five 777-8 Freighters, the industry’s newest, most capable and most fuel-efficient twin-engine freighter.
The MoU to order the 777-8 Freighter will enable Ethiopian Airlines to meet expanding global cargo demand from its hub in Addis Ababa and position the carrier for long-term sustainable growth.
Boeing launched the new 777-8 Freighter in January and has already booked 34 firm orders for the model, which features the advanced technology from the new 777X family and proven performance of the market-leading 777 Freighter. With payload capacity nearly identical to the 747-400 Freighter and a 30% improvement in fuel efficiency, emissions and operating costs, the 777-8 Freighter will enable a more sustainable and profitable business for operators.
Ethiopian Airlines currently operates nine 777 Freighters, connecting Africa with more than 40 cargo centers throughout Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Americas. The carrier’s fleet also includes three 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighters and a combined commercial fleet of more than 80 Boeing jets including 737s, 767s, 787s and 777s.

Delta Air Lines followed Alaska Airlines in celebrating the IAF at Seattle/Tacoma:
International customers arriving at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport will soon experience more comfort and convenience than ever, as the airport unveiled a gleaming new facility at a reception for media as well as community and business leaders.
โDelta customers will surely enjoy the benefits that this gorgeous, state-of-the-art International Arrivals Facility will bring to their travel journeys,โ said Eric Phillips, S.V.P. โ Airport Customer Service and Cargo, who participated in the event. โAs Seattleโs largest global airline and the largest future user of the IAF, Delta is committed to enhancing the customer experience in ways that will serve Seattle well into the future, while also helping to meet the growing regional demand for international service out of this gateway for business and tourism.โ
Delta has been closely engaged with the Port of Seattle on the construction of the IAF since teams broke ground in 2017. The airline serves more international destinations from Seattle than any other carrier; by August, Delta will offer nearly 45 weekly nonstop flights to Amsterdam, London, Paris, Seoul, Shanghai and Tokyo. Deltaโs transatlantic flying from Seattle has grown particularly significantly, with almost 50 percent more seats available today compared to 2019. Delta offers more than 140 daily departures to nearly 50 destinations from SEA overall.
The 450,000 square foot facility, slated to open to customers this spring, will increase the airportโs number of internationally capable gates from 12 to 20 and more than double passenger capacity to 2,600 passengers per hour (up from 1,200 today). Located east of the current A Concourse, the new space will feature baggage claim and customs processing areas as well as a new security corridor that will allow dual use of gates on the A Concourse for international and domestic arriving flights.
New amenities such as nursing rooms and pet relief areas will provide a more comfortable experience while passing through customs, and enhanced technologies will ensure faster passport check clearance, reducing the average customer connection time by approximately 15 minutes.

And while the buildingโs modern features and conveniences take center stage, the IAF also provides a memorable front door to the Pacific Northwest by highlighting regional art, a focus on sustainability, and dramatic views: the facility features an 85-foot-high aerial walkway โ creating a connection to the S Concourse โ that offers a great look at Mt. Rainier and the Olympic Mountains.

Norwegian’s traffic figures for February show that the number of passengers has remained stable over the second month of the year. 640,000 passengers flew with the company and load factor was over 81 percent. In February, ticket sales reached the highest level since the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020.

In February, Norway and many European countries removed entry rules and other measures and restrictions associated with the pandemic.

โFebruary is traditionally a month with lower travel demand, however, figures have remained comparable to the month of January. We are particularly pleased that our aircraft have had a load factor of over 81 percent. When travel restrictions were lifted, we immediately noticed increased demand for flights. We will have a comprehensive summer program this year to meet this demand,โ said Geir Karlsen, CEO of Norwegian.
Norwegian carried 643,089 passengers in February, compared with 61,374 in February 2021. The load factor was 81.3 per cent. The capacity (ASK) was 1,089 million seat kilometres, while actual passenger traffic (RPK) was 885 million seat kilometres. In February, Norwegian had an average of 44 aircraft in operation, and 99.8 per cent of scheduled flights were operated. Punctuality was 87.8 percent.

During the summer program, 280 routes to 38 destinations are planned, and Norwegian will have around 70 aircraft in operation. The company has noted a very positive development in future bookings over the last period, and monitors closely the uncertain situation in Europe, the turmoil in the financial markets and the change in oil prices.
