JetBlue Airways to start San Juan-Tampa service

JetBlue Airways (New York-JFK) announced its plans to expand its San Juan, Puerto Rico focus city and begin daily nonstop service to Tampa International Airport in May 2011 with a second flight beginning in June 2011. AirTran Airways announced it was starting the same route on the same day.

From Puerto Rico JetBlue currently offers service to destinations on the U.S. mainland including Boston, Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood, Orlando, New York, Tampa, plus intra-Caribbean service to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

JetBlue Airways to start Boston-Phoenix flights on September 2

JetBlue Airways (New York-JFK) will begin nonstop service from Boston to Phoenix on September 2, 2010. The company is the largest airline at Logan International Airport and will follow a summer of network growth in Boston that includes a 30% increase in daily departures.

JetBlue Airways (New York-JFK) yesterday (October 1) launched a new Airbus A320 route linking the JFK hub with Bridgetown, Barbados.

In addition JetBlue and Lufthansa have started selling seats for their new code-share partnership which is due to start on November 11.
