OzJet Airlines (Melbourne) ceased all operations on May 21, 2009 after its owner HeavyLift Cargo Airlines declared it would no longer support the subsidiary. Previously the airline had suspended scheduled flights on March 12, 2006 and was operating charter flights. The shut down came after Perth Airport refused to handle the carrier until the unpaid bills were paid. OzJet had three Boeing 737-200s based in Perth operating flights to Derby and sub-service flights for travel company IndoJet Asia (Bali). The airline originally commenced operations on November 29, 2005.

AVIACSA (Monterrey) was grounded late on June 2 by the Mexican government after officials said that the airline had maintenance “irregularities”. The airline is appealing this ruling citing, among other things, reports from the FAA and third party inspectors which have deemed the airline to be safe. The airline has 60 days to resolve all issues but with its traffic down due to the Swine Flu it may not be able to come back from this setback.ย
