CALC (China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited), a full value-chain aircraft solutions provider for global airlines, has signed a firm order for 50 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft.
This latest incremental order brings CALCโs total order book to date to around 200 Airbus single aisle aircraft.

Aircraft lessor AerCap holdings N.V. has upped its Airbus A320neo portfolio after signing a firm agreement to buy 50 additional aircraft. This transaction brings AerCap’s firm orders for the A320neo Family aircraft to a total of 270, owned and on order.
Pegasus Airlines has placed an order for 25 Airbus A321neo ACF (Airbus Cabin Flex configuration) aircraft. This comes on top of 18 Airbus A321neo and 57 A320neos already on order bringing Pegasus Airlines total firm order to 100 Airbus A320 Family aircraft.
Pegasusโ selection to move to an all-Airbus fleet reflects its strategy to grow its domestic as well as its international network with the best middle-of-the-market aircraft available.
The A321 is the largest member of the A320 Family, seating up to 240 passengers. Incorporating the latest engines, aerodynamic advances, and cabin innovations, the A321neo offers a significant reduction in fuel consumption of at least 15 percent per seat from day one and 20 percent by 2020.
The A321neo ACF introduces new door and fuselage enhancements allowing airlines to make better use of the cabin space and also provide provision for more underfloor fuel capacity for up to 4,000nm transatlantic range. With more than 5,200 orders received from 95 customers, the A320neo Family has captured nearly 60 percent share of the market.

Qatar Airways has reconfirmed and upsized its earlier order for 50 Airbus A320neo with a firm order instead for 50 of the larger Airbus A321neo ACF (Airbus Cabin Flex configuration).
This updated order replaces the original one placed in 2011.
Joining Qatar Airwaysโ fleet of 50 A320neo from 2019 onwards, the A321neo ACF will support the continuous development of Qatar Airwaysโ global network leveraging from the A321neo range capability and the unprecedented customer experience. The total value of the deal is at $6.35 billion at list prices.
The airline will also soon welcome the Airbus A350-1000.

DHL Express has become the first operator to take delivery of the A330-300 Passenger-to-Freighter (P2F) converted aircraft from Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW), the joint venture between ST Aerospace and Airbus. This delivery, which took place at EFWโs freighter conversion facilities in Dresden, follows the successful completion of test flights in October and awarding of the Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in November. DHL Express has firm orders for eight A330-300P2F units in total, with additional options to receive another 10.
The A330P2F conversion program, launched in 2012, is a collaboration between ST Aerospace, Airbus and their joint venture EFW. ST Aerospace, as the program and technical lead for the engineering development phase, is responsible for applying for the STCs from EASA and the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Airbus contributes to the programme with OEM data and certification support, while EFW leads the industrialization phase and marketing for the freighter conversion program.
The A330P2F program has two variants โ the A330-200P2F and the larger A330-300P2F. The latter is ideal for serving the international express B2B and e-commerce cargo markets, which typically have a higher volume and lower density. The aircraft can carry up to 62 metric tonnes over 3,650 nautical miles, while offering 20 percent more cargo volume and lower cost-per-tonne than other available freighter aircraft types with a similar range.

Following an intensive flight test campaign performed in less than a year, the A350-1000 has received Type Certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The certified aircraft is powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines.
The EASA A350-1000 Type Certification document was signed by EASAโs Certification Director, Trรฉvor Woods, and the FAA A350-1000 Type Certification document was signed by FAAโs International Section Manager, Bob Breneman. Both certificates were handed over to Airbus Executive Vice President Engineering, Charles Champion.
โReceiving the A350-1000 Type Certification from EASA and FAA less than one year after its first flight is an incredible achievement for Airbus and for all our partners who have been instrumental in building and testing this superb widebody aircraft,โ said Fabrice Brรฉgier, Airbus COO and President Commercial Aircraft. โThe A350-1000 benefits from the maturity of its successful brother, the A350-900, which has translated into excellent right-on-time performance. We now look forward to deliver the first aircraft to Qatar Airways by the end of the year.โ
The Type certification is a requirement for the aircraft to enter commercial service. This milestone comes after an intensive flight test trials that have taken its airframe and systems beyond their design limits to ensure the aircraft successfully meets all airworthiness criteria. The three A350-1000 flight test aircraft powered by Rolls-Royce engines successfully accumulated over 1,600 flight hours. Of these 150 flight test hours were completed with the same aircraft in an airline like operational environment to demonstrate its readiness for entry into service.
The A350-1000 is the latest member of Airbusโ leading widebody family, showing high level of commonality with the A350-900 with 95% common systems part numbers and Same Type Rating. As well as having a longer fuselage to accommodate 40 more passengers than the A350-900 (in a typical 3-class configuration), the A350-1000 also features a modified wing trailing-edge, new six-wheel main landing gears and more powerful Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines. Along with the A350-900, the A350-1000 is shaping the future of air travel by offering unprecedented levels of efficiency and unrivalled comfort in its โAirspaceโ cabin. With its additional capacity the A350-1000 is perfectly tailored for some of the busiest long-haul routes. To date 11 customers from five continents have ordered a total of 169 A350-1000s.

Airbus has been selected by Singapore Airlines (SIA) to provide cabin retrofit services for 14 A380 aircraft currently in service with the carrier. The retrofit programme, which will be undertaken at SIA Engineering Company in Singapore, will see the airlineโs recently launched cabin products installed on the aircraft. The new cabin products will debut on five new A380s to be delivered this year and next year.
Under the agreement, Services by Airbus will be responsible for Service Bulletin (SB) and aircraft cabin parts-kit delivery. Its teams will also contribute their A380 design knowledge and engineering expertise to integrate SIAโs customised cabin fittings into the A380โs spacious double-deck interior. The retrofit work is expected to start in late 2018, with all 14 aircraft scheduled for completion by 2020.
Singapore Airlinesโ new A380 cabin offers more personal space in all classes. The aircraft will accommodate a total of 471 passengers, with six private Suites and 78 Business Class seats (above) on the upper deck and 44 Premium Economy Class and 343 Economy Class seats (below) on the main deck.
Airbusโ Global Market Forecast projects that over the next 20 years the commercial aircraft upgrades services market will be worth US$180 billion, driven in part by high competition between airlines who value the โpassenger experienceโ as a differentiator (comfort, connectivity etc.), as well as systems upgrades. Notably, 38 per cent of this demand will come from the Asia-Pacific region.

Golden Falcon Aviation, the exclusive aircraft provider of Wataniya airways has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for 25 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft. The agreement was signed at the Dubai Airshow 2017 by Dr. Hamad Al-Tuwaijri, Chairman of Golden Falcon Aviation,ย and John Leahy, Chief Operating Officer Customers, Airbus Commercial Aircraft in the presence of Ali Al Fouzan, Chairman of Wataniya Airways.
Wataniya Airways resumed operations in July 2017 and currently operates a fleet of two A320ceo aircraft serving several destinations in the Middle East and Europe from its home base in Kuwait. The A320neo Family will contribute to the airlineโs strategic vision to become the fastest growing and leading airline in the country.

Asiana Airlines is introducing its new Airbus A350-900 to the Seoul (Incheon) – London (Heathrow) route starting on October 29, 2017 with flights OZ521/OZ522. Thye new type will be initially operated three days a week (Wednesday, Fridays and Sundays).

AirAsia (Malaysia) has taken delivery of the first Airbus A320neo (9M-AGK) assembled at the Airbus Final Assembly Line Asia (FALA) at a dedicated ceremony in Tianjin, China. The aircraft, powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines, seats comfortably 186 passengers and is equipped with the innovative Space-Flex cabin.
AirAsia is the largest airline customer of the A320 Family with orders for 578 aircraft. These include 404 A320neo Family aircraft.

The FALA in Tianjin, inaugurated in 2008 became the third single-aisle aircraft final assembly line location of Airbus worldwide, following Toulouse and Hamburg. It was also the first Airbus Final Assembly Line outside Europe. Today, some 340 aircraft have been assembled and delivered from Tianjin, China.
The A320neo Family incorporates the very latest technologies including new generation engines and Sharklets, which together deliver at least 15 percent fuel savings at delivery and 20 percent by 2020. With more than 5,200 orders received from 95 customers since its launch in 2010, the A320neo Family has captured some 60 percent share of the market.
