Azul launches a new route from Belo Horizonte to Orlando

Azul Brazilian Airlines, Brazilโ€™s largest airline by cities served, yesterday (November 16) added a new daily flight from Orlando International to Belo Horizonte, Brazil, the first-ever nonstop flight on the route. Belo Horizonte is Azulโ€™s second hub destination, where Orlando travelers will be able to connect to more than 100 destinations. The company also operates daily flights from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood and Orlando to Sรฃo Paulo. Azul Cargo services are available in all international flights.

The new daily service will depart Orlando (MCO) at 6 pm (1800), arriving in Belo Horizonte at 5:32 am (0532) the following morning. The return flight will depart Belo Horizonte at 10:18 am (1018), arriving at MCO at 4:15 pm (1615).

Gol Linhas Aรฉreas Inteligentes S.A. (Gol Transportes Aรฉreos) (Sรฃo Paulo), as we previously reported, unveiled a new look yesterday (July 15).

The pictured Boeing 737-8EH PR-GXZ (msn 40739) (above) was presented to the media and guests at the Gol Maintenance Center at Confins International Airport at Belo Horizonte (CNF/SBCF).ย CNF is the Gol’s main maintenance center.

In addition to the new visual identity (everything will change, from the website to the aircraft, through uniforms, napkins, cups, tickets etc.), the company presented the new seats, now in ecological leather.

The pictured PR-GXZ is also the 100th 737NG purchased directly from Boeing. Gol has a total fleet of 140 aircraft. Gol also has 15 737NG to be delivered through 2018, which can be converted to the newer 737 MAX.

In 2018, Gol will receive the first 737 MAX. In all, 100 units were purchased.

Finally, Gol announced a partnership with Go Go to offer a complete inflight entertainment system with on demand Wi-Fi content and streaming – all offered free in a basic page or premium paid packages.

Azul to debut nonstop Belo Horizonte – Orlando flights

Azul Linhas Aereas Brasileiras (Azul Brazilianย Airlines) (Sao Paulo-Campinas) is expanding itsย service between the U.S. and Brazil, with a new route to Beloย Horizonte, the first-ever nonstop flight on the route, starting on November 16, 2015.

Belo Horizonte is Azul’s second hub destination, where Orlandoย travelers will be able to connect to more than 80 Azul flights daily,ย to more than 30 destinations.

Starting November 16 through December 13, the new flight will operateย five days per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays),ย departing Orlando (MCO) at 8:15 pm, arriving in Belo Horizonte at 7:35 amย the next morning. The return flight will operate the same days,ย departing Belo Horizonte at 12:30 pm, arriving at MCO at 5:50 pm. Fromย December 14, the new service will operate daily on the same schedule.

Azul began service from Orlando International Airport in December lastย year with daily nonstop service to Sao Paulo (Campinas), the airline’sย main hub. Between July 1 and August 9, Azul also will add an additionalย three weekly flights for a total of 10 roundtrips per week fromย Orlando. Azul also plans to add three additional weekly roundtrip on aย regular basis between Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood to Sao Paulo (Campinas) to itsย daily nonstop service staring on July 1.

Azul to fly to Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood starting on December 1 and Orlando on December 15

Azul Linhas Aereas Brasileiras (Campinas-Viracopos) has filed with the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) for its approval for flights to Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood (FLL) and Orlando (MCO). If approved, FLL service will start on December 1 and MCO service on December 15 with its new Airbus A330-200s.

American adds new flights to Brazil

American Airlines (Dallas/Fort Worth) will launch 17 additional frequencies between the United States and Brazil beginning this fall.

Beginning October 1, American will launch a second daily flight between New York’s Kennedy Airport and Sao Paulo. On November 15, American will convert its daily Miami to Salvador flight, with continuing service to Recife, from one-stop service to nonstop service five days per week between Miami and both Recife and Salvador. American will also increase its current one daily nonstop flight between Miami and Rio de Janeiro to two daily nonstops on December 15.

In June, American increased weekly flights between Dallas/Fort Worth and Sao Paulo from seven times per week to 12 times per week and increased flights from Miami to Brasilia and Belo Horizonte from five and three times per week, respectively, to daily. American also launched new service between its Miami hub and Manaus, its seventh destination in Brazil, on June 14.

With the most service between North America and Brazil, American serves Brazil from Miami to Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, Manaus, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and Sao Paulo; from New York โ€“ Kennedy to Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo; and from Dallas/Fort Worth to Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. In total, American offers nearly 800 weekly flights to more than 40 cities throughout Latin America, including Mexico, Central and South America.

In addition, the Dallas/Fort Worth โ€“ Sao Paulo flight will be the first to feature the newest addition to American’s fleet, the Boeing 777-300 ER, this December.
