bmibaby adds 7 new routes for the summer

bmibaby (bmibaby.com) (East Midlands) has announced seven new destinations as part of its summer 2012 flying schedule. bmibaby will offer new flights from East Midlands Airport (EMA) to Gibraltar, Corfu, Murcia and Naples, and from Birmingham Airport to Lisbon, Rome (Fiumicino) and Barcelona. In addition, bmibaby will launch year round flights to Cologne from East Midlands Airport and to Prague from Birmingham Airport.

bmibaby is the only low cost airline to operate flights from East Midlands Airport to Cologne, Gibraltar and Naples and from Birmingham Airport to Barcelona, Lisbon, Prague and Rome (Fiumicino).

The low cost airline will now operate 31 routes from East Midlands Airport and 14 routes from Birmingham Airport.

bmibaby makes routes adjustments, will drop Manchester and Cardiff

bmibaby (bmibaby.com) (East Midlands) on April 13 announced it will base two additional aircraft at Belfast City Airport and offer seven new routes from the airport. New flights will go on sale to Malaga, Alicante, Palma, Faro and Ibiza for summer 2012, plus a new year round service to Amsterdam and new flights to Geneva for winter 2011. bmibaby will be the only low cost airline to operate these routes directly from Belfast City Airport.

bmibaby has also announced further growth from East Midlands Airport and Birmingham Airport, with one additional aircraft at each base. The low cost airline will offer two new routes from East Midlands Airport to Toulouse and Chambery for winter 2011. bmibaby is the only low cost airline to operate flights to Toulouse from East Midlands Airport. Both Toulouse and Chambery are gateways to popular ski resorts including Soldeu, Arinsal, Les Trois Vallées and Val d’Isere. More new routes for summer 2012 from Birmingham and East Midlands Airport will be announced soon.

As a result of these changes, bmibaby will cease operations from Cardiff Airport and from Manchester Airport at the end of the summer 2011 season.

bmibaby introduces a new “Tiny” color scheme on 737-59D G-BVKB

Bmibaby (bmibaby.com) (East Midlands) has modified its color scheme with the first aircraft being this Boeing 737-59D G-BVKB (msn 27268). The former “Children in Need” special color scheme (with balloons) has now been repainted. A new red “Tiny” emblem now adorns a light blue tail. G-BVKB has also been renamed “Jelly Bean”. The use of “Tiny” now matches the use of the figurine on its website.
